The biblical authors used a number of different analogies to try to wrap their arms around the concept of the church.  One of the most used was that of a family.  We are all brothers and sisters.  We laugh together when life is good and cry together when life is hard.  We share meals together and share our lives with one another.

At Northside, the heartbeat of our church is Community.  Community is where the "Big Church" becomes smaller!

• Men's Ministry

The Men's Ministry seeks to build, strengthen and empower men to live the life that Christ desires.  This ministry equips men to lead their families, strengthen and enjoy their marriages, provide accountability to each other, identify serving opportunities in the church and grow in their commitment to living Christ-centered lives.  Men engage in Bible studies, accountability groups, group fellowships and outreach efforts.  We welcome you to join us!

• Women's Ministry

  Women's Ministry at Northside seeks to embody Christ's character through oneness with God, unity in the body of Christ, and harmony with each other.  We have designed ministry to support women in our church spiritually and  emotionally.  We offer opportunities for fellowship and for women to grow spiritually through prayer, seminars, conferences, retreats, and other events.

• Singles - Upheld
  Various Locations & Times, Ages 18-29

  This is a community of young adults post high school through 30 and unmarried. The purpose of Thirst is to provide an environment where singles can grow together as a group, as they grow in their personal relationship with Christ. This is accomplished through equipping, fellowship, and group ministry.
  
  If you are looking for a place to connect and grow with other young adults, this is the place for you. Visit THIRST Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM.
  
  THIRST consists of:
  Teaching that will challenge and equip.   We are providing tools for the next generation of leadership.
  Bible Study where no question is off the table and answering with "what does the Bible say?”
  Fellowship (Connection).  We actually like each other.  We spend time together and actually enjoy it.  Everyone is always welcome.
  Service and Outreach.  It's not all about us.  It is our desire to assist is the furtherance of the gospel, draw people to Christ and exemplify Him.

  This class for single adults is a place where authentic community and spiritual growth become a reality.  You will find engaging Bible study, fellowship ad social activities.
  
   
• Senior Adult Ministry
  "Now if we are children, then we are heirs - heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory." -- Romans 8:17

  Golden Heirs represents the mature senior adults of our church.  There is no hard fast rule on age, but for those who want a distinction, we normally say 55 plus.  This focused ministry was established in October of 1976.  You do not have to be a member of Northside Baptist to belong.  It is open to all persons of this community who would like to enjoy and share in our activities.
  
  We meet weekly on Thursdays at 9:00 am in East Hall for donuts and coffee.  From 9:30-9:50 we recognize visitors, birthdays and anniversaries; we have a brief devotional and time of prayer for special needs.  At approximately 9:50, we turn the program over to our weekly guest artist.
  
  Many people in our church, of the mature senior ministry age, do not have family nearby.  What a blessing it is to be part of a group who care about and watch out for each other.  Beyond our regular Thursday meetings, we enjoy lunch together often, have special themed functions like retreats, luaus, Thanksgiving dinners, Christmas parties, movies and popcorn, and much more!
