Northside Baptist Church
Pray that we would be a community of genuine disciples of Jesus Christ striving to make genuine disciples of Jesus Christ and so bring glory to God
Pray that each one in our church would understand and adopt a whole-church, whole-life approach to discipleship
Pray for wisdom and direction for Pastor Tim in the best ways to communicate, share and engage the congregation in the process of discipleship so that everyone understands where they are, where they need to go and how to get there
Pray for wisdom and direction for Pastor Tim in the launch of a “Ministry Community” (training program for ministry leaders on the principles of discipleship)
Worship Services
Pray for wisdom and direction for Pastor Todd and Traditional Service Focus Group (excellence and inspiration in Traditional service)
Pray for wisdom and direction for Pastor Todd and Contemporary Service Focus Group (excellence and inspiration in Contemporary service)
Pray for wisdom and direction for the Focus Groups regarding the continuation of our combined 5th Sunday Services
Pray for wisdom and direction for the Contemporary Focus Group regarding the way we take up offerings in our Contemporary service (continue with boxes or passing the plates)
Fruit of the Spirit Sermon Series
Pray for Pastor Tim and the Fruit of the Spirit sermon series – that is would be God speaking and the One each person is listening to
Pray that we would be a Biblically understanding, love choosing, self-giving community and see God’s love produced in us
Pray that we would be a thankful, worshipping, faith sharing community and see God’s joy produced in us
Building
Pray for wisdom and direction for the Building Committee and Elder Board to determine the best projects to be addressed in the short-term (representing our best stewardship, addressing our most pressing needs and helping our growth)
Pray for wisdom and direction for the Building Committee and Elder Board to determine the right path for us to pursue in regards to completely renovating our present facility or transitioning to another facility
Pray, specifically, for wisdom and direction regarding the needs and issues of our Children and Youth spaces, our ABF spaces, our Sanctuary, our playground, our roof, and our HVAC system
ABF Classes
Pray for wisdom and direction for Pastor Devalin in the restructuring and re-launch of our Adult Sunday School classes into full functioning ABF classes
Pray for wisdom and direction for each ABF class as they look to identify and encourage their class leaders (leader/shepherd, teacher, outreach leader)
Discipleship Groups
Pray for wisdom and direction for Pastor Devalin in the restructuring and re-launch of Discipleship Groups according to the four Disciplemaking phases
Pray for wisdom and direction for each Discipleship Group leader in selecting the curriculum and an apprentice for their group
Children’s Ministry
Pray for wisdom and direction for Pastor Kurt in identifying new areas of ministry to elementary school children at NCS (through chaplain ministry) and Westgate Elementary (through Good News Club).
Pray for wisdom and direction for Pastor Kurt in finding, recruiting and equipping new nursery workers for the summer and AWANA year.
Missions
Pray for the Ft. Hood Team (July 7-14) in their preparations and ministry
Pray for Missionaries we recently reduced (Niager, Ortiz, Peklenk, Perdue, Powell) or released in support (Eshleman, Foster, Mandeville, Till, Walton)
Pray for those from NBC that God has called into Missions (Dave and Cindy Bintz, Cindy Duff, Lance and Jen Gaskill) that we have not been able to take on for support yet
Church Staff
Pray for wisdom and direction in regards to our present and future staffing needs
Pray that each staff member would be encouraged in, delighted in carrying out, invigorated by and bring enthusiasm to the congregation through their ministry
Northside Christian School
Pray for timely and safe completion of Track Project
Pray for enrollment for 2012-2013 School year
Pray for wisdom and direction for Dr. Don James and the administration regarding the next project to be launched by the School following the completion of the Track Project
