Our Global Ministries include our partnership with missionaries and national workers, our ministry through short-term trips, and our building up of the Body of Christ to understand their responsibility for passionately reaching the world with the good news of Jesus Christ.

PAUL & BEV CURRIN
GREATER EUROPE MISSION

Paul accepted Christ as a high school senior in Richmond, Virginia. He taught in public school before attending seminary at Columbia International University. He also served as Chairman of the Bible Department at Northside Christian High School. A friend led Bev to the Lord. A speech pathologist, Bev also taught in public school before attending Columbia International University. They began serving in Italy in 1988. Paul’s main role is teaching at the Italian Bible Institute, primarily exegesis and book studies of the Old and New Testaments.  He also gives weekly messages in the school’s chapel and is developing the school’s library with Bev’s assistance. They also serve in a local church, Bev in music ministry, and Paul preaching, teaching, and developing leadership. Hospitality is also a big part of Bev’s ministry in both the school and the church.

For 80+ years Northside Baptist Church has been investing in
Global Ministries. From the very first offering until the present, we as a church have been investing our resources to make disciples of Jesus Christ both here and abroad. And God continues to do immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine. One return on Northside’s investment is lives changed. From within our church body many have been called out to do overseas ministry: Alan and Whitney Brown, Joe and Elaine Henry, Denise Carter, Paul and Bev Currin, Paul and Maribeth Niager, Frank and Lourdes Valladares, even Sara and myself. And God continues to work in the lives of some of our youth who are right now pursuing a career in overseas missions.

Another return on our investment is not only lives changed at NBC, but lives changed around the world through the more than 55 missionary units that Northside supports each month. Hundreds of orphans have been given a place to be loved and cared for in India, Bangladesh and the Dominican Republic…The Jesus Film has been shown in many languages in many tribes and villages…hundreds of children in our city have heard the Gospel this year through Good News Clubs in our public schools…young pastors are being trained and equipped to go out and plant new churches in Africa, China, India, Indonesia, Philippines and Rome…hundreds of prisoners have heard the gospel in Pinellas County…many youth have been challenged to commit their lives to the Lord in camps both in the US and in Spain… people are being discipled in Australia, Thailand, Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Greece, Honduras, and Brazil…and the list could go on and on.

How can you invest? You can invest your time in prayer in lifting up our missionaries and their requests as you hear them through the prayer sheet and monthly prayer guide. You can invest your energy by getting to know our missionaries when they are able to be at Northside or through email and facebook. And you can invest your money by allowing our missionaries to buy the resources they need to reach others for Christ. Ask God now how He wants you to invest what you have so you can see the many blessings of our return on investments as we approach Global Focus Week, March 3-10.
