Do you know what all Northside Christian Preschool teachers have? Welcoming smiles and green thumbs!
Have you had the opportunity to visit our Northside Christian Preschool garden? We call it The Garden of His Love. We have sunflowers, morning glories, lilies, bean sprouts, cabbage, strawberries, rosemary, thyme, sage, dill, sweet potatoes, pumpkins and a crazy out of control tomato vine! We have a bunny and a snake, baby birds, turtles, crabs, frogs, fish, spiders, caterpillars – chrysalis – and butterflies too!
At the beginning of each school year I am blessed with the duty of giving each of my staff of educators a new packet of seeds. Together we prepare the soil, weed, till, water, and fertilize. Then we are ready to plant the seeds. We fervently pray over each tiny seed asking God for wisdom and patience to enable us to tend to the individual needs of every one. Then our excitement and anticipation grows, and grows, and grows!
We welcome the opportunity to plant your precious seed in the deep rich soil of God’s marvelous love in our Northside Christian Preschool garden. We know that plants are like children; each needing a unique environment in which to grow and flourish. Because we know that each plant and each child has its own timetable, shape, color, and fragrance we prepare the garden environment with just the right mixture of water, physical activity, challenging hands-on experiences, conversations, group times and quiet personal times to listen and observe. And then we wait, watch and listen for the Master Gardener to stroll among us and bless each seed with strong vibrant roots that produce curiosity, confidence, compassion, citizenship and a heart and mind that look to the sky to reflect the Son’s love.
At Northside Christian Preschool we believe that God, the Master Gardener, created the first garden. We also believe that He created the “spiritual garden” of each child’s heart. By partnering with parents; we plant the seed of God’s Word in preschoolers’ tender hearts. Our daily curriculum is designed to cultivate a cognitive foundation that will meet the intellectual demands associated with later formal schooling.
There are hundreds, thousands, millions of flowers and God knows every one. Visit Northside Christian Preschool today and plant your seed in the garden of His love for a preschool experience that cultivates a love for life-long learning with the Master Gardener!
At Northside Christian Preschool students are happy, curious, confident and loving as they explore the great world of the Master Gardener. We hope you will come experience our energetic curriculum by scheduling a personal tour.
