What is a Small Group?

Small groups are the place where you will be personally encouraged and challenged in your relationship with God and with others.  The environment is the best place for sustained life-change in your spiritual journey. Groups consist of anywhere from 8 to 12 people.

In a Small Group, people come together for the purpose of Bible Study, fellowship, discussing the issues and challenges of life and finding accountability.  It is a place where you pray, care for one another and are missed if you are absent.

Small Groups provide a wonderful opportunity to encourage and exhort each other as we proceed on our individual journey's of spiritual growth and life transformation.

Why do we have Small Groups?

We believe in small groups because...

  • Small Groups follow God's design for nurture and care of His children. (Acts 2:44-46; 1 Thessalonians 2:7-12; 1 Peter 5:1-5)
  • Small Groups were Jesus' primary context for training His disciples. (Matthew 17:1; Mark 3:13-14)
  • Small Groups were established by the first century church. (Acts 2:42-47; 20:20)
  • Small Groups provide a very effective environment for instruction, encouragement, support, recovery, and accountability. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12; 1 Corinthians 12:24-26; Colossians 3:16; Hebrews 10:24-25; James 5:16)
  • Small Groups promote spiritual multiplication. (Exodus 18:13-27; 2 Timothy 2:2)
