First Place

The First Plae program is the result of a godly desire placed in the hearts of a group of Christians to establish a Christ-centered weight-loss program. The basic question that initiated their search was, "Since God has saved us from our sins and given us an abundant life, why can't we, as Christians, use that same power in the area of weight control?"

With that question in mind, they began to develop a program that would meet the needs of Christians who needed to get their weight under control.  Matthew 6:33 says, "Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."  This was choses as the theme verse for the program.  Hence, the name First Place.

The ultimate goal of First Place is for each member to experience a more abundant life, as Christ becomes Lord of the spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical areas of their life.  Weekly meetings offer instruction, encouragement and support to help accomplish this goal.

Our current First Place group is open only to women and meets on Wednesday Night at 7:00 PM.
